Avatar Land at the Animal Kingdom
Closely working with 20th Century Fox, James Cameron and his producing partner Jon Landau the Disney Imagineers are carefully planning the approach of this fantasy world to the Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This multi attraction themed land is just the boost that the Animal Kingdom theme park needs to put it back on the top! Interviews with James Cameron have given guests a clear view of what is currently being planned in the lands earliest stages. Cameron told media that he really hoped to bring flying attractions into the mix. Rides like “Soaring over California” that can be found in Disney’s Epcot theme park were among his favorite rides. The Avatar film featured a wide variety of flying scenes, and the Disney Imagineers would like to bring that kind of excitement to the new theme park attractions at the Animal Kingdom.
While the theme park expansion is currently in its early stages, news of the new Avatar will continue to flow out of Disney until its opening day in 2016, after the release of the films two sequels.
